How offers and the standby list work
Why you get the offers you get, how long you have to answer, and what the standby list means for you.
Offers aren't handed out at random or to whoever asks loudest. They follow the same rules for everyone.
Who gets offered work
A contractor describes the work. Only workers who meet every requirement are offered it, in order. Work is spread across workers instead of going to the same few.
The acceptance window
Each offer stays open for a fair window, long enough for you to see it even if you're busy on another site.
The standby list
If you're eligible but others were offered the work first, you may be on the standby list. If someone declines or doesn't come, you can be offered the place.
When a job changes
If the dates or the rate change after you accepted, you're asked again. You never arrive to a different job from the one you agreed to.
