Create your worker profile with a smartphone or a basic phone. Joining is free, and your profile is yours: it follows you from site to site.

Joining Buildpal is free. You can do it with the app on a smartphone, or by USSD on any basic phone. Both give you the same profile and the same chances of work.
With the app
Start sign-up
Open the Buildpal app and choose to create an account.
Enter your name and ID
Type your name as it is on your national ID, then your ID number. Your ID number is kept private and hidden wherever it appears.
Choose your trade
Pick your main trade, like mason, carpenter or helper. You can add other trades and skills later.
Confirm your phone number
Confirm the phone number offers and payouts should use. You can change it later from your profile.
With a basic phone (USSD)
Start sign-up
Dial the Buildpal USSD code and choose to register.
Enter your name and ID
Type your name as it is on your national ID, then your ID number. It is kept private.
Choose your trade
Pick your main trade from the menu. You can add other trades later.
Confirm your phone number
You are registered on the number you dialled from. Offers and payouts will use it.
Next, get verified, so contractors can trust your profile from your first day.
